Webster-Nicholas Education Consortium
Camden-on-Gauley Medical Center
P.O. Box 69
Camden on Gauley, WV 26208

We welcome you to our housing! The Webster-Nicholas Education Consortium provides housing to you at no cost. We hope you take advantage of this time you will spend with other students to live and learn together and appreciate the others discipline. We also believe this should ease your integration into our local communities. We have several housing opportunities for you to take advantage. We currently keep a spacious apartment in the community of Camden on Gauley. We also have housing in remodeled rooms at Richwood Area Community Hospital, Summersville Memorial Hospital and Webster County Memorial Hospital. We ask that if you rotate in a particular community, you stay at one of the supporting agencies housing. Because each housing situation is unique, there are a few hard and fast rules for each. We ask that you read the following rules so that your stay with us and our communities are pleasing and valuable to you. The rules are as follows:

  1. There are NO PETS ALLOWED! We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
  2. Each housing unit is completely furnished, however, if you like, you may bring other amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Do not drive nails or alter the housing in any way before you notify the Site Coordinator. This may result in liability on your part as a resident of the housing.
  3. You are responsible for placing garbage in appropriate containers or notifying housekeeping of the need for garbage removal. The Site Coordinator will inform you as to where garbage should be removed or who to notify to have it removed. You wouldn't be in the position you are in by being lazy. Don't be lazy about your garbage. Share the responsibilities with your house mates and keep the housing clean.
  4. The bathrooms should be cleaned at least one time week.
  5. Please do not SMOKE in the house.
  6. You are responsible for the keys that are issued to you. If you lose or otherwise damage any locking system, you may be financially responsible for the damage or loss.
  7. Use common sense. Every place has quirks and we will work with you to line them out. Please do not wait until the end of your rotation to complain. We can generally work out any problems if we are notified in time.
  8. Contact your Site Coordinator for ANYTHING pertaining to your living arrangements.
  9. Linens are provided at the hospitals and we recommend bringing flat sheets for the Camden on Gauley apartment (double bed size). Also, bring your own alarm clock.
  10. Please securely lock the doors and windows whenever you are away in clinical, community service or for the weekend. We have never had trouble with our housing in the context of vandals, robbery or breaking and entering or any other problems. Our communities are some of the safest in the state... However, please be on your guard. Notify the proper authorities and your Site Coordinator of any unusual happenings or threatening situations.
