Housing for students is available in the Southern Consortium so that you can experience your rotations in a true rural setting.

Student housing in Boone County & Logan County is located in Madison, WV. The housing is approximately a 30 minute drive on 119S to Logan Regional Medical Center in Logan, WV and only a few miles from Boone Memorial Hospital.

In Pineville there is a nice two-bedroom apartment located near the Pineville Children’s Clinic, with one bath, and a fully furnished kitchen and dining area.  A TV, washer, dryer and telephone are also included.

Computers and internet access is available within walking distance at the Learning Resource Center at the Pineville Children’s Clinic. 

Housing at Pineville includes a microwave oven, coffee maker, dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, quilts, blankets, pillows and other miscellaneous items.  Most students need only bring their clothes and personal items.

In the Welch housing there are three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, washer and dryer. There is also a computer with internet access for your convience. It is located near Welch Emergency Hospital.

Housing in Madison is also fully equipped, however students do need to bring their own towels and sheets. The sheets should be for a twin bed size.

The Learning Resource Center

There are currently two Learning Resource Centers in operation in the Southern Counties. There is one in Boone County at Boone Memorial Hospital. In Wyoming County there is one at the Pineville Children's Clinic.
