IDS sessions are held at various locations on different days
and times. A schedule will be provided at orientation. A variety
of Interdisciplinary experiences are also available.
Field
Faculty rotate facilitation of the sessions. Student work schedules
are set by their Field Faculty and preceptor. In addition to working
at their Field Professor's site (clinic, pharmacy, dental office,
hospital), students will have the opportunity to shadow at Cameron
Continuous Care Center, Marshall County Health Department, Reynolds
Memorial Hospital, local emergency squad and home visits.
Students
perform community service at area schools, clubs and organizations,
health fairs, senior citizen center, and health department.
Students
also participate in at least one community-based research project.
