During rural rotations, students are required to take part in
activities which are designed to complement the clinical portion
of their learning experience with problem-based instruction, community
service projects, and community-based research.
Interdisciplinary
(IDS) sessions take place every Friday at Grafton
City Hospital from 11:30am-2:00pm. These sessions bring students
from various disciplines together with health care professionals
to examine case studies.
Research
activities also are community based. Students may take part
in formal or informal surveys, or create their own projects to
learn more about the health care concerns of the community.
