Grafton
City Hospital is a 24-bed, critical access community hospital offering extensive
services in primary care medicine. The Wallace B. Murphy, MD Nursing Care
Facility is licensed for 72 long-term care residents. The Hospital and
Nursing Care Facility are each accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation
of Health Care Organizations, accredited by Medicare and Medicaid, and
licensed by the State of West Virginia. The Nursing Care Facility is also
approved for VA placements.
The Hospital’s outpatient specialized clinics include cardiology, podiatry, gastroenterology and oncology.
The Tygart Valley Total Care Clinic was the first provider-based rural health clinic created within a hospital setting in the State of West Virginia. It is staffed with one board-eligible internist, one board-certified internist, one board-certified surgeon and one general practitioner, several registered nurses.
The Taylor County Total Health Center was created out of a need to improve the lifestyles of Taylor County residents. The “Wellness Center” has been awarded the Bronze Star by the Wellness Council of West Virginia. This facility offers free weights, cardiovascular area, Nautilus equipment, high-low impact aerobics, stress management classes, smoking cessation classes, and nutrition counseling.
