Braxton County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) is a 40-bed, acute care facility located a quarter mile from Exit 62 of Interstate 79, between Sutton and Gassaway - the geographic center of the state. BCMH is a not-for-profit, community hospital, serving all of Braxton County and parts of Gilmer, Clay, and Nicholas Counties. There are 8 active medical staff and 38 courtesy/consulting staff members.

Braxton Community Health Center (CHC), a rural health center, is located in BCMH. It provides primary care services to the local community, including womenÕs health services and outpatient clinics in urology, dermatology, surgery, and audiology.
