Approval of Minutes – The
minutes of the
Needlestick Policy – The committee reviewed information presented
by the Needlestick Policy Subcommittee regarding the
creation of a list of potential pharmacies in the state where drugs could be
stored in compliance with the WVRHEP needlestick
policy.
Addition of Allied Health
Representative to Advisory Panel – Ralph said that the committee would be meeting
in person today at
Guidelines for Adjunct Faculty
Appointments – Imogene said that Hilda has only received one of these from a
school. Please send your guidelines to
her as soon as possible. Norm said that WVU’s guidelines were on their website.
Orienting students to HP2010
Objectives – A group of site coordinators and Patti Crawford are working on
incorporating HP2010 Objectives into their monthly reporting of community
service activities. There was discussion
about how much health profession students are oriented to HP2010 before going
out to the rural sites.
New Business
Recommendations of the
Visions Workgroup of the State Advisory Panel – Review of recommendations
referred to the School Committee – The committee reviewed the November 2000
Visions document. The following
individuals agreed to work on recommendations referred to the School Committee:
Recommendation II: Community Based Curriculum

New Business – HIPAA Policy – Hilda and Imogene explained that a HIPAA policy
is currently being developed for WVRHEP.
All students must have compliance training. If the site has specific training, they must
provide this training to the student.
The policy will be up for vote at the March 2003 Advisory Panel meeting.
With
