IDS Bill reported student feedback from WVSOM is that sites are not
consistent in terms of frequency.
Norm conveyed that in early days we had a verbal understanding that IDS
would be at a minimum with nursing and medicine. Then when WVRHEP
come into effect at least 2 disciplines were to hold IDS. He also
stated that the schools understood that field faculty would represent the
discipline not the students.
Norm also suggested identifying students with dual degrees, MD and
Pharmacy, and use them for education of other students. How can we
track and use these students to educate and promote IDS in the
curriculum?
The committee discussed various ideas about training preceptors in IDS
via MDTV; local/consortia level Faculty development, on campus C. E.
