Faculty Development Meeting

September 18, 2000
Days Inn, Flatwoods

In Attendance:  Rosie Cannarella, Dan Brody, Imogene Foster, Jane Horst, Helen Baker, Joanie Hypes, Michelle Kopf

Rosie reported on the grant for Service Learning Training with Wright  University – 2 individuals (Rosie and Imogene (possibly)) will attend different trainings on service-learning over the next year and then bring the training to our FDD conference in 2001.  A training will be held in Morgantown  on December 1
Rosie is waiting on confirmation and more information, then the committee can decide on who should attend.
Who would pay for the 25 individuals -mileage, per diem etc. for the dec. 1 training?
Could OSCD be one of these individuals?
A suggestion was made to invite all site coordinators,  OSCD, and 1 rep from each school.
Imogene is going to talk with her dean about being the 2nd person for the training.  If she is not able to do this, then Dan will be the designee
Rosie to check on how many people and whether this would be the same training as at FDD in 2001 or different.
Could possibly be one person from each consortium, sc's never involved in service learning training before and a representative from each of the seven schools
May minutes approved (baker/foster)
Dr. Satow has resigned, as well as Valerie Minor.  Dan knows a field faculty who would be interested and Michelle Kopf is considering joining the committee.
