This meeting was held at the New River site. I. TEAM development and expansion of TEAM activities among faculty - campus and field. Dr. Savory added that she recently sent a letter to clinic managers asking them that whenever possible they maximize the team concept approach with more than one discipline present. She has also sent a letter to the school committee saying that the observations are the team is the link between the administration and field professors. Dr. Savory asked the committee whether they thought it would be helpful for field professors to attend conferences and continuing education activities. Chuck Conner added that there seems to be a problem getting CEU's through WVU. Lynne Welch asked if the team concept has been integrated into the institution-based curriculum. Team building should be promoted at the institution level. KGCC Minutes 8/30/94 Page Two II. Combined Research and Curriculum Committee Sandra Magnetti stated that most institutions would like to conduct more research activities, but there has been a lack of funds for this. She will write to Dr. Weston asking that money be set aside for more research. The Research Sub-Committee distributed a manual for everyone to look over. The manual was developed as a student manual, as a community research tool, and for staff use. _____________________________________________ Linda Savory, Chair
